Finally, a decent episode. Lots of interesting and funny things to see this time around, and some explanation on the word “tsundere”, c/o Minoru Shiraishi.

New cellphone yo~
This episode’s gags may not exactly induce knee-jerk laughter, but they’re the type that’ll put a lingering smile on your face. Plus, Konata’s got new gags this time around (last episode merely recycled some of her old ones).

I really can’t believe that Cousin Yui is already married.
Miyuki got noticeably less screentime around, as the episode concentrated mostly on the twins and Konata. However, quality over quantity, and her one real gag is done very nicely, fitting her character perfectly. And that’s Minoru calling her name, mind you. He never fails to show up voicing unusual roles.

My moe counter is OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND!
Now for something totally unexpected. This guy seems like an original, crazy character thrown in by KyoAni for the week, but apparently he’s a real mascot of a real store and even has drama CDs to boot! Voiced by Tomokazu Seki this time around. I totally dig the animation for this scene. Plus, the sideburns are sooooooo Go Nagai.

Hmm… I swear I saw this elsewhere…
Kagami and Tsukasa switch hairstyles, while still retaining their overall look and character. I prefer the original ones but I wouldn’t mind them doing this sometimes.

Konata’s dad gets more screentime this episode. He has his funny moments, including a totally-out-of-the-blue Fate/Stay Night reference. Plus, we get to see Konata’s mom this time around.
“Is she even legal?” Kagami remarked upon seeing her picture.

Sebastian… err Minoru steals the spotlight in this episode’s Lucky Channel segment. A potshot from Akira on Kagami’s character triggers a long-winded monologue from Minoru about the etymology and evolution of the word “tsundere”. I totally like the way they attempt to give out character bios but practically reveal nothing about the characters themselves. Blame it on Akira, who’ll stop the bios by ranting at length about the character’s traits and her own idol career.

HURR DURR TSUNDERE RAGE
I wonder when the hell will they introduce the other girls (the ones you see in the cheerleading part of the OP).
Oh, and Fang-sensei was nonexistent in this episode. #@$@#*&$&!
