I am liking the shows this season. After an influx of mech shows for the earlier half of 2007, it’s refreshing to see a more subdued variety right now.
I will now note the shows I am currently following right now, along with the reasons why I picked them up:
Gundam 00 — why do I need to explain this? It’s fucking Gundam. No trace of Fukuda, Morosawa, nor Hirai to screw things up either. And delicious trap Tieria is only icing on the cake (I REGRET NOTHING, BITCHES).
Dragonaut — Haruhi cast meets Gurren Lagann cast in a Gonzo original. Minori Chihara is back to busty roles again, playing the lead woman.
Minami-ke — Crazy 4-koma adaptation without the viral marketing. Well, no sign of it yet. Marina Inoue playing a fiendishly hyperactive girl is a bonus.
Myself; Yourself — Supposedly standard-fare romantic comedy, will have to see how this will turn out. Also, it has Takehito Koyasu as Shuu Shirakawa. The only drawback so far in this show is that Aoi, while a character I have every reason to love (meganekko, bookworm, etc), has a very annoying voice.
Bamboo Blade — Ridiculously funny sports anime. Also, pierce the heavens with your kendo.
